Bisexuality; People who have intimate relationships with both the sexes. They are sure to have insightful and exciting takes on relationships. And of course, different types of intimacy too.
But bisexuality faces its sole share of discrimination. People still accuse them of faking it and most of the times they are afraid to come out as gay. They are termed as being not so cool. Friends and families sometimes make comments and don’t tend to understand the struggles. This lack of understanding leads bisexuals to feel alone, lost and sometimes even suicidal.
As much as people look down on them and treat them poorly, they have their share of experiences, which to us are beautiful. And what can be better than they themselves giving us an insight into what their life is like and the struggles?
Here’s what bisexual people confess about dating both men and women.
01. Don’t force anyone into anything.
Being in a same sex relationship is hard. You’ve got to make sure that both of you are on the same page. Or else, things get awkward.
“Not sure how it is for men, but for me, who dated a lesbian for more than a year, she made my life a living hell by expecting me to renounce my inclination towards manly ways. She wanted me to accept lesbianism completely.”
02. Women are soft, but this man I dated, has smooth skin.
“Being a woman, I know we tend to keep our skin hydrated and moisturised. We take good care of it, whatsoever. But this guy I dated, had an equally soft skin. It was so pleasant.“
03. Girls aren’t secretive, guys are.
“The girls I dated were quick to tell if something was wrong or if they did not want to continue but the guys I dated kept on going around for a long, long time, never really letting it out.”
04. Walk of shame
“It is not any less embarrassing for a girl to get caught staying at a girls’ place when you are at the beginning of your relationship.”
05. Women kiss completely different!
“Women kisses are entirely different and making out with them is a no climax oriented make out session. Men are more climax oriented.”
06. This is my full experience.
“As a bisexual female, I’ve noticed that while I was dating a lesbian she wanted me to forget the fact that I also liked men, in fact, she wanted me to be 100% into women. While dating a straight guy was like getting into threesomes. But if it was a bisexual guy, strictly him.”
07. Dating men and women is not different at all.
“When I was young, I used to find it hard to imagine dating guys because according to me they had high hopes and expectations from a girl. But later in my 20s when I started dating mature people, my assumptions changed. I guess there are no particular differences between dating a guy or a girl. They are almost alike. People have expectations and hang-ups regardless of their gender and it is completely ok. I am ok with changes.”
